    3. Hello, I am new to this list. I am researching the name MACK. According to family lore my g grandfather Matthew MACK is from Manchester, BUT, the only source I have that actually places him there is my grandmother's marriage certificate from 1918. His occupation is listed as Master Hairdresser. So, it would seem to me he was born elsewhere and moved to Manchester at some point. My mother thinks possibly there was a connection to Scotland. I would like to hear from others researching the MACK name. What I know of Matthew MACK is that he was married to Catherine ?? (maybe Britcher) and they had the following children: Catherine MACK (my grandmother) born about 1894 - 1896 (marrried, moved to Canada 1919) Henrietta MACK (married Richard MASON, living in Manchester c. 1938) Lucy MACK (married, living in Manchester c. 1938) Richard MACK (married, living in Manchester, hairdresser(?), c. 1938)
