I am looking for information on my GGG Grandfather , Dr. William Daingerfield Smith and his Brother, Dr. George William Smith. In the mid 1800's they were supposed to have graduated in medicine from the University of Edinburgh. How would I find these records? Who would I contact to verify? Dr. George Smith joined the Queen's Regiment afterward, and moved to Canada with them. He finally settled in Innis, Louisiana, USA... Pointe Coupee Parish. This is also where Dr. William Daingerfield Smith settled. They were both from the USA, before going abroad to medical school. I am also under the impression their older brother, Edwin Bathurst Smith, may have gone to University of Edinburgh. I would be grateful for any information.
