Greetings! I am seeking information on William (S.?) TAGGART. He was born circa 1765 and presumably in Scotland. Most likely at that time the name was Mac Taggart or Mc Taggart. He immigrated to the United States and I have located him in the very early 1800's in Madison County, New York. I would greatly appreciate hearing from anyone with a possible family connection or anyone who might have suggestions on how I should proceed to determine his origin and parentage.
