I am interested in any information any body may have on Archibald McDonald and Ann Blair who arrived in Napier N.Z. aboard the Mana in 1857 from Scotland, possibly from the Isle of Bute. It is possible Achibald first arrived in1855 along with his brother (name unknown) aboard thier own ship possibly a whaler, and then returned to Scotland for Ann. A child, William Mana Blair McDonald, is believed to have been born on route to N.Z. This does not seem like a lot to go by, but at this stage it is all I know about thier Scotish history.
