Hello Ken, 1st try to locate the birth certificate of Elizabeth born 20th June 1882 in Glasgow, you will get this from Edinburgh. On the birth certificate you will also get the parents marriage details, if they were married in Scotland after 1855, you will also get that certificate in Edinburgh. When you get the marriage certificate, that will give you details of both of their parents and whether they were still alive, then you can look for deaths. I have very little to go on, my apologies for that, but here it is: Looking for marriage and birth information for Sarah SHAW who married a James DEANS (who I believe was Irish) about 1880's. They had at least one child named Elizabeth Jeannie DEANS born June 20, 1882 in Glasgow, Scotland. Elizabeth would become a nurse maid and move to Canada about 1900 to 1908 time frame. Elizabeth was my gr.grandmother. Any body connect out there or could point me to a place to search? Thanks Ken
