Hello: Would like to correspond with anyone with info on the McInnis Family from Argyleshire, scotland that migrated to NC and on to Green County Mississippi. It appears that I have my roots back to Daniel McInnis, born Abt. 1735 in Argyleshire, Scotland; died Bet. 1830 - 1840 in Covington Co., Mississippi. He married to Sarah Jane. Sarah Jane, born Abt. 1740 in Scotland; died Abt. 1840 in Covington Co., Mississippi. Also seeking info on a John McInnis from Argyleshire, Scotland that migrated about the same time. I have reason that these 2 family/s merge somewhere in the 1700. Therefore would appreciate any info on the McInnis linage from Scotland about that time and back. Any information, (Birth, Marriage,Death, Passenger List, etc) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks: Earl McInnis @ emcinnis@lakeozark.net

I am hoping someone can help me in my search. My name is James (Jim) Kenneth Lloyd SMITH and I was born (12/51) in St. Andrews, Jamaica. My mother, Josephine Fredrica (ne ROBERTSON) SMITH, HARRIS was also born in St. Andrews. She is the youngest of 11 children born to Frederick Henry ROBERTSON and Madge GOODEY. The first 6 were born in England and the next 5 in the colony of Jamaica. I have most recently received a copy of my grandfather's Certificate of Completion, dated June 26, 1918, Rank - 2nd Lieutenant, Gordon Highlanders, having learnt to fly a Grahame-White Biplane during World War I. My grandfather's birth date is given, in London, as December 28, 1890...(Discussion says that he was born 1889.) The Certificate also provides the following address -- 67, The Grove, Palmers Green, Middlesex -- If any one has any information regarding my grandparents in Middlesex it would be extremely helpful. My great grandparents were Alexander Pirrie ROBERTSON and Elizabeth MERRYFIELD. I have very little information and would certainly appreciate any assistance. My aunts and uncles were as follows: 1. Audrey Madge (ne ROBERTSON) ELDER, born Middlesex, May 8, 1913, (living in British Columbia, Canada) 2. Joan Mary (ne ROBERTSON) ALLEN, born Middlesex, January 27, 1915, (died 1979, England) 3. John ROBERTSON, born Middlesex, January 27, 1915, (died at birth, England) 4. Stuart Alistair Frederick ROBERTSON, born Middlesex, November 23, 1916, (missing in action, March 24, 1941, England) 5. Barbara Joyce (ne ROBERTSON) VERNON, born Middlesex, January 14, 1919, (living in Florida, United States) 6. Pamela Jeanne (ne ROBERTSON) TAYLOR, born Enfield, March 13, 1921, (living in England) 7. James Duncan Alexander ROBERTSON, born St. Andrew's, Jamaica, March 14, 1923, (missing in action, May 1, 1945, Indian Ocean) 8. Margaret Clarice (ne ROBERTSON) STEVENS, born St. Andrew's, Jamaica, September 9, 1924, (living in England) 9. You may find it helpful to join the FIFE mailing list if these entries seem worth checking out further. I am interested in any information any body may have on Archibald McDonald and Ann Blair who arrived in Napier N.Z. aboard the Mana in 1857 from Scotland, possibly from the Isle of Bute. It is possible Achibald first arrived in1855 along with his brother (name unknown) aboard thier own ship possibly a whaler, and then returned to Scotland for Ann. A child, William Mana Blair McDonald, is believed to have been born on route to N.Z. This does not seem like a lot to go by, but at this stage it is all I know about thier Scotish history. Any information would be gratfully recieved. David McDonald davade@xtra.co.nz
