    2. Barbara MacQueen
    3. I'm trying to find information on William John Mac Queen, born in Darvel, Scotland 25/6/1898. Parents were William and Mary. Brother was Thomas. Information I have indicates he changed his name from Mc Queen to Mac Queen sometime between the two World Wars, so his birth name may have been William John Mc Queen. If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it. Bill and Barb MacQueen Prince Edward Island Canada

    2. Mr. Shackleford, I do take exception that you would turn this genealogy list into a forum for your political views. I didn't want to read it the first time you sent it, but you found it necessary to send it a second time...... one hour later......on the same day. Should we next expect your moral and religious opinions? Please do not subject the list to any other postings of this nature. Respectfully, Susan Peterson

    3. ----- Original Message ----- From: canuck To: WGW-SURNAMES-SCOTLAND-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Thursday, November 30, 2000 10:35 AM Subject: How to Unsubscribe I noticed that several people are sending their unscubscribe messages to the list. Here is the instructions to properly unsubscribe. Hope this helps. I wouldn't want anyone getting upset because they weren't removed from the list when they wanted to be. To SUBSCRIBE or UNSUBSCRIBE send a message to: WGW-SURNAMES-SCOTLAND-L-request@rootsweb.com (if you are in mail mode i.e. receiving the messages individually or want them individually) or WGW-SURNAMES-SCOTLAND-D-request@rootsweb.com (if you are in digest mode i.e. receiving a digest of multiple messages or want this mode) In the BODY of the message (not the subject line) type the word subscribe or unsubscribe. Do NOT use a signature file attached to the e-mail message. The software reads your message and tries to answer each command it finds. When it runs across your signature file it gets a bit confused and will send you a message stating something like 'Do not recognize command 'Jones'. Do not recognize command "Smith", etc. It is important when UNSUBSCRIBING that you use the right address or you will not be removed from the list.
