I wonder why people put so much faith in the LDS records. For one they are not complete! secondly, most people think that if they are not in there (LDS) then the records do not exist! Thirdly, as they are (again) a transcription of the originals, they are just as likely to mis-interpret entries, like all of us, if they cannot understand the entry. NO-ONE is infallible The LDS records only exist if they have been transcribed, so everything is not Gospel from that source. Don't get me wrong they are good for some things, BUT NOT EVERYTHING! I've even used them myself but, I never hold everything as Gospel until I have exhausted my own research recourses like contacting the local (in this case the Wexford) Registrars office. Most local records now, are on Computer database, again not all of them, so it is well worth asking the registrar (if you have access) in the first place. The information I have given you "is straight from the Horses Mouth" as we say... slan Cyril Newsome Loch Garman (for the seven people who wrote to me "off List" asking where this Loch Garman is? Well I have to say, "It is in fact, Co. Wexford itself!") ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, November 30, 2005 1:44 PM Subject: Re: [WEX] Connor of Wexford > Dear Cyril, > > I am amazed!!!! and so excited. > > It has taken me years and years to find that infomation and that MaryAnn > Connor is not listed on the Civil entries at the copies of civil registration at > the LDS Family History Centres. > > That definitely looks like the right Mary Ann.
