Excuse me if I've written to you before and have lost the memory of that. Me own ggg-grandmother is MARY STAFFORD. She married JAMES EDWARDS in Piercestown in the southern part of Co. Wexford in 1829. I've been trying to find something about her family -- mother, father, siblings -- and what happened to her when the rest of the family shows up in Chicago in the 1850's. The last known child Mary and James had was a John in 1843. Am also looking for MURPHYS from Co. Wexford. My gg-grandfather is JAMES MURPHY who married Mary's and James' oldest daugther, CATHERINE, in 1859 in Chicago. Any connection you might have, no matter how slim, will be most gratefully welcomed. Hi Richie Thanks for that info. Unfortunately I cannot assist you , as like you I am having difficulties in tracing the Murphy's and Stafford's. There could be a link between us, only more research will tell. Yes it is fun tracking relatives but it can be very frustrating when the relatives live in a different country and you have to rely on other kind hearted people to help you.
