Hi Can I please pick your collective brains. My great grand father died in 3 Sept 1925 in Wales. Family legend has it that one of his sons took his body back home to Ireland for burial and that the son helped to dig the grave. What we don't know is the location of the grave. Has any one any idea how I can trace the cemetery that he would have been buried in. He was born in Arthurstown. regards Su
Su, Wales Censuses often list the county of a persons birth even if they were born in Ireland. If you provide the person's name and have a general idea of when and/or where in Wales they lived, I would be gald to do a quick lookup for you. This way you might be able to at least narrow you ancestor's birthplace down to the county in Ireland where he was born. The local cemetery for Arthurstown is in nearby Ballyhack, from where the ferry crosses the river to Passage East. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Su Brown" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, April 27, 2006 6:21 AM Subject: [WEX] Burial in Wexford > Hi > Can I please pick your collective brains. > My great grand father died in 3 Sept 1925 in Wales.
