    3. Misterin Adamstown Bantry Wexford Household Delaney Patrick(60) farm servant/widower Edward(20) farm servant-Johanna(18)-Mary(17)-Michael(15) Misterin Adamstown Bantry Wexford Household Delaney Thomas(44) farmer I am looking at this as been a possible as the names are very similar to Johanna's children. From looking at the age of Patrick do you think this could be a grandfather or an Uncle, would it say on the census that the children are nieces or children? Johanna came to Liverpool after the 1901 census. I am really hoping that this is her family. Thank you -----Original Message----- From: Kristina Cameron [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, 4 April 2006 11:29 a.m. To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [WEX] Delaney Thank you for this Joan Yes I did make a boo boo with the dates. I think I have found the family in the census I will keep searching. You have done a wonderful job transcribing this. It is people like you that help others to find there ancestors. Thank you so much. In the 1901 census that I have completed there are 33 households where the head of house has a surname Delaney and another 25 house where Delaneys are listed as residents. Maybe you can find some name connections. Not sure I follow your dates, if Joanna and Ellen 32 in 1901 are sisters then Michael father would be 6 when Ellen was born if he was born in 1860. There is a Michael 60 and wife Anastasia age 59 on the 1901 census. go to: http://www.leitrim-roscommon.com/1901census/ Joan -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: "Cyril Newsome" <[email protected]> > As far as I can tell Kristina there were only something like 7-8 Delaney's > in Wexford for this period... > Two of them being an Ellen and an Eleanor Delaney of Rathumney plus one > other female located elsewhere. > > The remainder are all males of different locations. > > > slan > Cyril Newsome > Loch Garman > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Kristina Cameron" <[email protected]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Monday, April 03, 2006 11:10 AM > Subject: [WEX] Delaney > > > > Hello listers > > > > Could someone please tell me if the Delaney name was popular in Wexford, > > circa 1860 > > > > Thankyou > > Kristina > > > > Looking for Michael Delaney born circa 1860 > > > > Daughter Johanna Delaney born 1885 left Wexford 1899 circa resided in > > Liverpool, Lancs 1901 > > Her sister Ellen Delaney married Nicholas Cullen living in Kirkdale, > > Liverpool, Lancs on the 1901 census age 32. > > > > Johanna Delaney married James Bolger born 1871, Gowran, Kilkenny in 1905 > > Liverpool, Lancashire. > > > > Anyone searching Delaney family > > > > Kristina > > > > > > ==== WEXFORD Mailing List ==== > > To SUBSCRIBE or UNSUBSCRIBE send a message to: > > > > [email protected] (if you are in mail mode i.e. receiving > the messages > > individually or want them individually) > > > > or > > > > [email protected] (if you are in digest mode i.e. receiving a > digest of multiple > > messages or want this mode) > > > > > > > > > > ==== WEXFORD Mailing List ==== > The Wexford Surnames List can be found at > http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~hughw/wexford.html > ==== WEXFORD Mailing List ==== The Wexford Surnames List can be found at http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~hughw/wexford.html ==== WEXFORD Mailing List ==== Wexford List Guidelines http://wexford-l.blogspot.com/
