I am looking to find information on Sinnott's who left Ireland in the early 1800's. My GGGrandfather was born about 1825 and died in Newfoundland in 1905. His uncle Nicholas Sinnott also moved to Newfoundland and died in 1882 at the age of 72. So that means that Nicholas Sinnott was born in 1810 + or - a year. My GGGrandfather was married to a Catherine Meehan whose family I suspect also came from the Wexford area. Any help in this search would be greatly appreciated. Maurice Charette

Maurice My great grandfather , Thomas Sinnott Cullen came from Wexford( Ballycullane) in 1847 at the age of 12. His mother was a Catherine Sinnott who married an Edward Cullen. Thomas came across Illinois working as a farm hand and as a stage coach driver in Kearney , NE. He finally was able to buy a farm in Atchison Co. , Mo and married Elizabeth Proudfit. They had six children but only Nettie ( my grandmother ) married; his name was Frank Miles.She died six weeks after my father was born of typhoid fever. There are lots of Sinnotts and Cullens from Wexford area. I welcome any connections.
