    3. Hugh please submit info. below if it does not reach the list again. 1. On the www.wexford.ie web site, under the planning section there are the best town maps of the major wexford towns. 2. I am trying to find location of a street in New Ross. It is not listed on that map. The background of this item is that some local people whose ancestors came from there paid a visit about a dozen years ago. On tape while sitting by 3 bullet gate he was describing where there original house was. They apparantly shared a common ancestero. 3. He said that the street the original house is still on is Irish for cobbler. It was so named because there were about a dozen cobblers working there (I was told there was a street called tailor street for the same reason. I also didn't see that one but I don't need to know where it is). I did a search on the web for brog (which is Irish for cobbler) and there was one hit in an obituary for Brog Lane. The family lived on Nunnery Lane/Cross street which is across the the fella that was reading to the tape. 4. Althought the map above doesn't have many names for locations across the river I would think that cobblers would most likely operate just outside the the town walls in Irishtown or adjoining areas. It is possible that for some reason the street is renamed. I don't know of any other resources to draw on for the moment. 5. Another thing I find odd is that there are two Nunnery Lanes going the same directions. They are very near each other but are not connected. It's unique city planning. Larry O'Brien
