Such as locations of nearby possible relatives, etc.? I don't see any suitable candidates for your placename in the Wexford town/townland listings, nor in the list of postoffices, etc. Same for the three abutting counties.......... unless you want to make a real "stretch". There is a townland of Barragh, in the civil parish of Barragh, in Co. Carlow but less than 3 miles from the Wexford border near Kildavin and Clonegal in Carlow. It's hard to believe that the address would be given as Barragh Barragh, however. More likely, it would be Barragh Kildavin. .............................................................................. ... The nearest you are going to get to this one Jim (and Peter) is The Burrow (Ballyteigue Bay) which runs from Kilmore to The Cull in Duncormick. It's a stretch of Beach in a Crescent shape, other than that you would be down to Bannow sometimes spoken as Banna but may have been misinterpreted as Burra if you mistake the "R's" in a handwritten letter as "N's" which can be easily done. slan Cyril Newsome Loch Garman... ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, June 19, 2006 2:13 PM Subject: Re: [WEX] Bill STAFFORD contact me > Jim at [email protected] writes: > > << Is there a town or place in wexford thats sounds like 'burra burra'? >> > > Jim, > > Do you a general area in Wexford where you might find this place?
