I am trying to find somewone who will do some library or archive research for me on the ships which went between New Ross and Newfoundland, PEI and Nova Scotia in the early 1800's I tried the various Wexford libraries, but never received an answer. Any ideas? Marie Fraser, Prince George, BC
Dear Marie: You could try the National Archives in Ottawa and interlibrary loan any films they have on ships - there are very few records,, but you may get lucky. Ships also came to Quebec, and perhaps you could look at ships lists which landed in USA - like Portland, and New York. The people then would enter Canada from there. Good luck in your search May Prange, Pembroke, Ontario On 26-Jun-06, at 10:55 PM, Marie Fraser wrote: I am trying to find somewone who will do some library or archive research for me on the ships which went between New Ross and Newfoundland, PEI and Nova Scotia in the early 1800's I tried the various Wexford libraries, but never received an answer.
