    1. Wexford/Wicklow researcher needed
    2. I am looking for someone familiar with the Wexford/Wicklow area who can do a reasonable search for family connections. I have had some research done in Wicklow with no answers and now have a clue that the family may have been in Wexford at one time. Family lore has the Roe/Keely/Ireland families around Enniskerry, County Wicklow. I have had a researcher look in the area but found nothing. The families are Anglican and not Catholic. John Roe m. Mary Ann Keeley/Kealy most likely in the late 1830's. Mary Ann had known sisters, Bridget and Julia. Somehow a Frederick W Ireland and his sister Emily Frances Ireland are connected and listed as "cousins". It seems that Julia and Bridget Keeley immigrated to the Boston MA area about 1850's before the Roes leave for Canada. John is in the Pembroke ON area and is on the 1861 census in Alice Twp ON. Mary Ann and the children(born approximately between 1840 - 1856), Robert, Nicholas, John, Julia, Elizabeth, and Edward first appear on the 1871 census in Alice Twp. John Roe is a farmer and owns land in Alice in 1861 until his death. He may have gone to Canada before the family. The recent connection to Wexford is found on John Jr's marriage registration where place of birth is listed as Wexford Ireland. Julia Keeley married a Portugese sailor, Antonio Jospephs, in MA but when their son becomes a Dr. the family moves to the Pembroke ON area. In the late 1880's, Frederick and Emily Ireland pass through NY port and are on the census with the Jospephs in Pembroke 1891. Frederick and Emily then go to NY for medical training but both end up later in Pembroke to their deaths. My guess is that the Ireland's mother may have been a Keeley. I have found the spelling of Kealy both ways on various documents. It seems that this Roe family stayed intact and as a family left Ireland for Canada. There must be some church records for the births of the children and a location they actually lived. These three family names are connected beginning in Ireland. Since Wexford and Wicklow border, maybe they were in that border area. Is there a researcher in the area who could work on this family for a reasonable amount?
