    3. Hi Cyril I have appreciated your advice and assistance that you have given to various members of the Wexford Roots Web and the map of Wexford is very informative and of great interest. I am researching the Stafford family who I believe originated from Crossabeg. Patrick Francis Stafford DOB 2nd or 4th Oct 1866 956 Crossabeg and his Parents were John Stafford [DOB abt 1835 ??? ] and Mary [nee MURPHY] and the date of their marriage was 1865. Do you have any information or leads to John Stafford's Parents. regards Bill Stafford

    3. Hi Bill, If I'm not mistaken, the Parish Records for Crossabeg start sometime around the late 1790's for baptisms? Marriages are about the same time and there are a few burials within the Parish Records but not many, maybe a year or so. (Re; The Burial books for this parish I haven't a clue as to their whereabouts). I don't think even the County Council has a clue? I don't personally have a record of any Stafford's in Crossabeg but I do have some Murphy's: Laurence Murphy in Artramon Townland and two Stephen's in Artramon but these are in the 1850 period (Griffiths' Valuation). Without going through the Parish Records I couldn't give you any more at this time. I've tried on a number of occasions to visit the priest there but can never seem to get him in. Sorry I cannot be of more help (for now). slan Cyril Newsome Loch Garman... ----- Original Message ----- From: " WILLIAM STAFFORD" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, March 20, 2006 7:34 PM Subject: [WEX] Stafford Research in Crossabeg and Kitestown > Hi Cyril > I have appreciated your advice and assistance that you have given to various > members of the Wexford Roots Web and the map of Wexford is very informative > and of great interest.
