Well Cyril....You could knock me over, because I did not know any of this. The information I got was from ancestry.com, who told me that they did not have any further information. Also, I knew Ballyprecas was something like 943 acres, being sort of large for a townland. I guess I just will never know exactly which of the "Bally" anythings, the Shanahans came from. Good to know, I'm at another rather large "fork" in the road of research. M.
