Hi Cyril, Thank you very much for your reply, I hadn't realised there were multiple Ballyduffs in the area. It looks as though Irish research will be very difficult if not impossible. We'll probably have to settle for visiting the area and enjoying the sights. I haven't found any more information available on my convict William Hayes, probably never will judging on the contradictory records here, so the Hayes line will remain a mystery. I might just make some fascinating history up :) We are looking forward to visiting Camolin and seeing the old Mill House, and hopefully meet Gillian Roark the widow of the Robin who died in 1990 and their children.
