    3. Hi Ray, how are things with you these days? Let's see what I have: Ballyduff, (711 Acres) in the Civil Parish of Kilcomb, in the Barony of Scarawalsh, in the PLU of Gorey. All I can say at the moment Ray is that the Parish records for Camolin are as follows: Baptisms: June 1st. 1853-Dec.10th. 1880 Marriages: March 10th. 1853-Feb.7th. 1880 Burials Jan.3rd 1858-Feb.7th. 1879 (all dates only refer to those held on film in the National Lib. of Ireland in Dublin. Film ref: Pos. 4257) Other (older) dates, may be held by the priest of the Parish in the local records? Do you want all the Ballyduff's I have? Townland Acres County Barony Civil Parish PLU Ballyduff 182 Wexford Gorey Ballycanew Gorey *Ballyduff 332 Wexford Scarawalsh Ballycarney Enniscorthy Ballyduff 711 Wexford Scarawalsh Kilcomb Gorey Ballyduff 87 Wexford Ballaghkeen Meelnagh Gorey Ballyduff 90 Wexford Gorey Monamolin Gorey I hope this helps, take your pick and I will find out from the Wexford Library what they have. It is most likely they will only have a copy of the film mentioned above. As always Ray and to the List: Nollaig Shona Duit agus Athbhliain faoi mhaise duit! (Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year!). 'Go mbeire muid beo ar an am seo arís.' May we be alive at this time next year. slan Cyril Newsome Loch Garman... 3. Hi Cyril, Thank you very much for your reply, I hadn't realised there were multiple Ballyduffs in the area. It looks as though Irish research will be very difficult if not impossible. We'll probably have to settle for visiting the area and enjoying the sights. I haven't found any more information available on my convict William Hayes, probably never will judging on the contradictory records here, so the Hayes line will remain a mystery. I might just make some fascinating history up :) We are looking forward to visiting Camolin and seeing the old Mill House, and hopefully meet Gillian Roark the widow of the Robin who died in 1990 and their children. Hope you get a break from list duties over the festive season and have a happy and safe 2006.
