I have been looking for info on Garrett Cavanagh who married Mary Kelly abt 1835 in Wexford. hey immigrated to New Brunswick in 1840 with oldest son, John born 1837. They were catholic. Wondered if that might ave been Mary's family. Murphys, Redmonds, Laceys, McCrearys My wife Maryann passed this on to me,I normally dont bother with it as I usually refer to roots as weeds. Maryann's parents are from Ireland,I came here when I was 21 in 1965. My mother was a Murphy of Coolhull Castle in Carrig -on-Bannow County Wexford. My father was a head master oldest son of the Kellys Bakery in Wexford. His brother was T.C.Kelly Composer and Conductor of The Irish Orchestor better known as the Radio Eireaann/Telefis Eireann,he did all Frank Pattersons Arrangements. His Mam was a Redmond of Adamstown Co Wexford and his Dad James Kelly was a cousin to Sean T O'Ceallaigh(Kelly) 2 wives the first President of Ireland. His first wife died in childbirth and her sister came to babysit and he got a dispensation from the Pope to marry her. John Redmond of Wexford was a famous Orator whose speeches dissuaded Irish people from getting involved in World War One(I think) There are a lot of Laceys in Wexford town A good source is The Wexford People Newspaper Leo B.Kelly Originally Caroreigh County Wexford 0-16 years old Kilmacow County Kilkenny 1965-1967 San Francisco 1967-1969 New York(Bronx) 1969-Present Roslyn Abington Township,Pa (Due to Marital Chains) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Suzanne M.
