    1. [WEXFORD] Roe/Keeley/Ireland
    2. I post here again after a year in case anyone catches this and knows a connection. Family tradition is that the ROE family lived in Wicklow. I have one registration that gives Wexford as a birth place. Since this is more than the ususal 'Ireland" I can only dismiss it as a registrar's mistake or there is some validity. JOHN ROE married MARY ANN KEELEY about 1830-1840. Robert, the first known son was born about 1840. Followed was Nicholas, Julia, John, Elizabeth, and Edward. They emigrated to Canada as an intact family about 1857. They are Anglican. They have a crown land grant in Ontario. Mary Ann Keeley had at least two sisters, Julia and Bridget. Julia and Bridget emigrate to Boston apparently on their own about 1850. I believe that there is another sister who married WILLIAM IRELAND. That sister died before 1880. Wm and that sister had two children, Frederick William and Emily Frances before 1877. Wm. emigrated to Connecticut by 1880 alone. The children must have stayed back with a relative and themselves emigrated to New York in 1888. Could Robert, son of John and Mary Ann, been born in Wexford. Family tradition is so firmly set as them living in Enniskerry, Cty Wicklow. Help!!! Bonnie in California
