Yet again I offer this: http://gplan.wexford.ie/wexford_gplan/ Just type in your Townland query and it will bring up a map of the location from the sub menu below which shows the variations of the name. slan Cyril Newsome Loch Garman... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Edel Codd" <poncan_gael@yahoo.com> To: <wexford@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, January 19, 2009 8:29 PM Subject: Re: [WEXFORD] WEXFORD Digest, Vol 4, Issue 12 > John, try Maudlin or Maudlins. 3. My wife and I had a memorable trip to Ireland late last year and as I stood on Vinegar Hill, I kept wondering, my ancestor was about 3 years old April 1798, where would Timothy and his family gone to escape. Would they just hid out in the bushes during the attacks and then returned to their home in Enniscorthy which, in all probability, would have been burned to the ground or would they have travelled to Wicklow or some other place. Would anyone have a view on this or know of some historical reference which could shed some light on the question! Your help is very much appreciated Jack Connors
