Hello, Joan!? Thank you for this information, I am always on the look-out for any Quinns from any part of Wexford. Specifically, I am looking for information about any and all Quinns who lived in Rathangan/Kilcowan Parish.? Please keep me in mind if you come across them.? My g-g-grandfather Peter Quinn (b. abt 1808) and g-g-grandmother Catherine Pierce (b. about 1816?) lived in Longridge townland in the 1840s and baptized five children (Thomas 1843, Bridget 1844, Patrick, Stephen 1847, Peter)1851) in Rathangan R.C. church before emigrating to Pennsylvania in 1852.?? Don't know where parents Peter and Catherine were born.? Have checked the registers for Kilcowan/Rathangan and Kilmore parishes, and several other parishes in the vicinity, haven't found their marriage.? Have found a few other Quinns mentioned in those parish registers who are probably siblings of Peter, but no real proof of family relationship.?? Have already checked Griffiths, Tithe Applotment, etc etc.? Very, very few Quinns lived in that part of Wexford at that time. I believe Swan was the primary landlord in that vicinity, according to Griffiths.? Would love to find estate records for that landlord.? Last time I looked there were no estate records at the National Library or Archive.
