Most of my researching in the past has been in Tipperary records & for quite a few years the access to the particular diocese my Tipp people came from was very limited, which made me a bit tentative. Contact information for the Roman Catholic parishes in Gorey and Kilanerin are listed on the website for the diocese of Ferns www.ferns.ie . On the right hand side of their homepage under Parishes select either Gorey or Kilanerin. Saint Michael Church in Gorey is by a famous architect whose name escapes me at the moment. I've read the entries with interest because of the mention of Gorey. My Rowan and Whelan ancestors are from that vicinity and had records in Kilanerin before coming to the US in 1850. There's also a Mary Brien who's suposed to be from Carlow (no more information than that) from around the same time period.
