Peggy, I just noticed your Furlong query; I have some Furlongs from the Rathangan area who were neighbors of Marc Cody who emigrated to PEi in the early 1800's. Marc's father wrote him in 1820 and mentioned that neighbor Mark Furlong had married Meg Ratford of Cullenstown. Marc Cody's father was John Cody of Rathangan.
