Listers: I have been following the FURLONG discussion with interest. Does anyone have FURLONGs from Ireland who went to RHODE ISLAND in the early to mid-1800s from Newfoundland or Nova Scotia? I have a JAMES FURLONG who appears on the 1850 US Census of RHODE ISLAND. He was married three times. His first wife was CATHERINE, the second HANNAH and the third MARY DONAHUE. JAMES and all his wives died and are buried in RHODE ISLAND. I know this is sketchy. Just throwing out a test balloon.
