    3. I am researching Sister Catherine Fitzpatrick of St. Charles, MO who came to Missouri about 1859 to stay with a married brother (no name).  The records at the convent say that she was born in Gorey, March 25, 1839.  She was one of 11 children.  Six brothers and one sister emigrated before she did.  She left Ireland at 18 to join a brother in St. Louis.  I believe her parents sent her to the U.S. to find her brothers.  Both parents were still alive at that time.  She never went back.  She took the habit in 1865 and spent most of her years at St. Charles, MO. Her father's name was Nicholas Fitzpatrick and her mother was Ellen Mitten.  I found a Catherine Fitzpatrick in the 1880 census at the convent.  Her age at that time was 41, so she was using 1839 as her birth year.  She died in 1909.  I also found three Fitzpatricks working at the convent in 1880, all born in Ireland.  Possible relatives? I don't know if "Catherine" was her original name and she kept it or if her first name was Mary? Is anyone on the list familiar with this Fitzpatrick family? Patti Meyers

    3. Patti, Where did you find this census? Was it just the one on the familysearch site? I ask as I too had some relatived who moved to MO and I suspect they ended up as nums in St. Louis. Surnames Chapman and Daly. 3. Eileen, are you looking for a Census look-up? If so, I can help you, but I would need to know the full names of the people and also their approximate birth year.
