my great-grandfather john byrne was born around 1840 (possibly in ballylannon, tintern). in 1859 he married catherine pender at tintern. in 1860 he joined the british army (royal artillery) and served in halifax, nova scotia and gibraltar, where he finally settled. john and catherine's parents were john or william byrne and catherine rushford and patrick pender and mary mc dermott presumably from wexford any information on any of the above or john and catherine's brothers and sisters would be much appreciated, john byrne
