Dear All, On the 1911 Census Trimmers Lane is called Summerslane West, The Clancy house number is 14. On 1901 its No 5. I understand from a recent visit to Wexford, that numbers were odd and even opposite at sides. Are there any plans in existence, that would show how the numbers went. Also I am trying to trace Mary Scallan ( nee Clancy) my GT GT GT Grandmother shown on the 1901 Census as a sister of Thomas Clancy my living at Number 5 Trimmers Lane. It states she is 50 on 1901 Census, believe she had a daughter around 1870 also called Mary Scallan My GT GT Grandmother . I think my GT GT GT Married Around 1868 to 1872 to ??????? Scallan, possibly Richard Scallan. Any information would be very much appreciated. Best Regards, Richard.
Hi. I also am curious about the house numbering system in Wexford during the 1911 census. My relatives Moses and Elizabeth Harpur lived in and had a store and pub at 55-57 South Main Street Wexford near Harpur's Lane. The census shows them at 40 South Main Street and if I recall there are no numbers in the 50's. Thanks Rootswebbers. -----Original Message----- From: wexford-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:wexford-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Richard Scallan Sent: Thursday, April 22, 2010 8:46 AM To: Wexford Requests Rootsweb Subject: [WEXFORD] Topic (1) House numbers in Trimers lane, Selskar.
