Just on a point of clarification for you Judy, with Wexford Cty. We do not have a Wexford City, it is but a town (Wexford Town) which of course is the county town of County Wexford if that makes sense to you? Now for the churches in Wexford Town for the period, you can exclude the "Church of the Assumption" Bride St. Wexford as the records only date back to 1883. The records for the "Church of The Immaculate Conception" Rowe Street, date back to 1671. If you are in the area at all, you would have to contact the Sacristan at Rowe St. to view the records. The last known contact I have is: Joe Kinsella, c/o The Presbytery, 12 School St., Wexford A religion would have been helpful... --- On Mon, 8/2/10, judith wendt <judywendt67@comcast.net> wrote: From: judith wendt <judywendt67@comcast.net> Subject: [WEXFORD] Where are the most Hogans in Wexford To: WEXFORD@rootsweb.com Date: Monday, 8 February, 2010, 1:51 ty Wexford I have just begun to work on a Hogan line. Dennis Hogan's obit says he was born in Wexford Cty in 1833. He immigrated to St. Louis MO sometime before 1859. Married Mary Delargy before or after immigrating and had 9 children with her: Edward, Dennis, catharine, Jams, Charlie, William, Mary/Mamie, Michael Jennie. He died in 1882. I am trying to nail the village/townland he was from in Wexford Cty. so that I can further research this line. Any crumbs would be most appreciated.
