I am researching Dorney/Durney, found so far in Piercetown, Taghmon, Tagoat and Bannon. Head of family is James Dorney, born about 1824, who married Mary Browne (probably of Piercetown). Their children are Patrick, Nicholas, James, Christopher, William (born 1862), John, and Anne (born 1866) Also looking for the James Murphy who was father to Bridget. Area of interest Ballygeary or Glynn/Barntown. Bridget married James Heffernan and after his death, William Dorney. Their son, William, was born in Ballygeary in 1887. Have information to share.
