My Great-grandfather John Thomas Holmes (1881-1952) married Albertina Zimber in 1902 in New Ross. The family later moved to Kilkenny. John was a Methodist. I have been told that Albertina's family had a watch-making business in New Ross and at some point they originated in Alsace. I am interested in tracing the Zimber family and the obvious place to start is with the records of their marriage.
