Hello all from a newcomer! I recently discovered that my O'BRIENs came from Enniscorthy sometime after 1840. The sad story is that Michael O'BRIEN drowned in a Peat Bog around this time and his wife, only known as Mrs. Mike O'Brien and her children immigrated to Canada--possibly to the Stoco Parish in Ont. and finally to pioneer an O'BRIEN settlement on the Old Town Line near Bancroft, Ont. The 5 children that I know are: John(1832-1909) who married Jane LEVEQUE(These 2 are my gg-grandparents who had 14 children), Ann who married a McCABE, Mary(1840-1925) married to John MURRAY(1832-1909) in Marmora, Martin, and Mathew who also married a MURRAY. Any connections or suggestions? Also, is it possible to somehow find out about poor Michael's death or get a marriage certificate to help figure out Mary's lost surname/ Thanks, Nancy
