The original name for Cloughbawn was Killegney. As Killegney, its records commence in March 1816, with gaps in the baptismal and marriage registers from September 1850 to January 1853, and in the death register from Sept 1853 to February 1861. To be on the safe side you should also check out the records of the neighboring parish of Rathnure which is linked historically with Killegney/Cloughbawn. Rathnure records commence 1846.
