Hello, I'm new to the list and am researching the QUINN family from Enniscorthy. Patrick QUINN was the head of household. Patrick was listed as a dealer, chicken dealer and finally a poulterer at different times on various records. They lived on Mary Street, and The Shannon, Parish of TempleShannon. He was married to Mary MOORE, born 1840, daughter of Thomas MOORE and Margaret GODFREY. Patrick and Mary had the following children that I know of: Thomas b 1864 m Mary ??? Margaret Mary b 1866 m Richard Huebner Andrew Joseph b 1873 m Ellen Cecilia Donnelly Kennedy Patrick b 1874 never married d 1940 John b 1875 never married d 1940 Mary b 1878 m Arthur Taylor Nicholas b 1879 m Delia ??? All of the above children came to the Chicago, IL area. The last to come were Patrick and John who traveled with mother Mary. They immigrated after Patrick Sr died in Ireland about 1909. All are buried in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hillside, IL. On the 1901 Census of Ireland the only ones listed were Patrick Sr., Mary, Patrick, John and an Alfred Benson, 8 yrs old, from England, who was listed as an adopted child. I have seen no other reference to Alfred and do not know the relationship. Sherry Quinn
