    3. I am still stumbling through my search for my STAFFORD family from Rathumney and HALL family in Merthyr Tydfil Wales. I searched the 1901 census for New Ross and then discovered that Rathumney is in the parish of Owenduff, so I am waiting for those films. I did discover this family. Mary STAFFORD 45 widow. James STAFFORD 10. Johanna STAFFORD 9. Mary Ann STAFFORD 8. Bridget MURPHY 19 niece. Michael HALL (perhaps Mary's father) 70 Lodger Saddler? Lawrence HALL 26 servant. This family lived 1 mile from my gfathers home, Patrick STAFFORD. Since my gmother went to Ireland as a young girl to be a nanny maybe she had Irish ties. Her name was also Mary Ann. Searching the HALL name a history showed that HALL is Scottish and many were exiled to Ireland with the name being common in Leinster. There are 55 HALLS in the Wexford telephone book on line. Am I grasping at straws? Yes. Wondering if anyone else is looking for HALLS or has come accross the name. Joan rolfes@erols.com
