EDWARD SINNOTT/SINNETT was the son of William Sinnott & Jane O'Neil of Wexford Co., Ireland. Edward arrived in Canada, probably with Wolfe's army 1770s, he first appears in a 1777 census as a single man living in Perce, Gaspe Peninsula. He married Josette Robert dit LeBreton from Coutanche, Brittany, France, in Anse-au-Griffon on September 17, 1790. They were married previously before witnesses in 1780. They had nine children, the youngest, James is my 4th g-grandfather. Don't know when Edward died but Josette married another Irishman, John Irving, on October 7, 1827.
