Hi, my name is Audrey Thomas and live in Queensland, Australia. This is my first message and I really need help. This is really a long shot but I am desperate to find out about the Howlett family. I looked in a surnames book that had some Howlett's listed in Wexford, so that is why I am trying your list to see if the following has any connection. William Howlett according to the 1881 census for Liverpool was born at sea, his age given as 78 which would make his birthyear 1803. I have tried searching the parish reg. of St. Peter's in Liverpool where his daughter was married but could not find him. Tried the 1851 census but could not find him on that either. I do not know his mother and father's name so I have come to a full stop. I would be really grateful for any information.
