Joan <"rolfes"@erols.com> Here's just a bit more, hopefully, to tie some ancestors together. My William STAFFORD arrived in New York City June 1, 1846 aboard the Fidelia. He was accompanied by Catherine STAFFORD, age 18. I am making the assumption that Catherine was his sister because; William's mother was Catherine REA and his father John STAFFORD. William named one of his daughters Catherine and William's wife's name was Johanna POWER. The usage of Catherine seems to fit the Irish naming pattern. Were William and Catherine related to Patrick? Who knows. Perhaps your parish priest will come up with something. Sure is difficult putting these ancestors together, but - - - - - Press on regardless. Happy New Year! Harry I. Stafford
