So far I have discovered for sure that my Patrick Kehoe married Bridget Byrne in Co.CARLOW in 1820. I have visited the church and verified his marriage. No birth record found but family history says he was born there also. No records for the birth or for his father and mother as follows. Generation No. 1 1. WILLIAM (ANDREW) ABT 17771 KEHOE was born Abt. 1777. He married ANNE RYAN, daughter of PATRICK RYAN and DOLLY BOW. She was born Abt. 1777. Child of WILLIAM KEHOE and ANNE RYAN is: 2. i. PATRICK2 KEHOE, b. March 26, 1797, Tomard Co. Carlow Parrish: Tullowcreen, Barony: Idrone, Ireland; d. September 11, 1873, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Charlotte Vermont. Generation No. 2 2. PATRICK2 KEHOE (WILLIAM (ANDREW) ABT 17771) was born March 26, 1797 in Tomard Co. Carlow Parrish: Tullowcreen, Barony: Idrone, Ireland, and died September 11, 1873 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Charlotte Vermont. He married BRIDGET BYRNE November 22, 1820 in St. Lazerian's Church, Leighlinbridge, Co Carlow, Ireland, daughter of MICHAEL BYRNE and MARGARET KEALEY. She was born June 21, 1798 in Co. Carlow Ireland, and died May 16, 1880 in Charlotte Vermont. I wish I could find where my Patrick came to Co. Carlow and what county he and his parents came from. Byrne is a very common name in Co. Carlow and my thoughts were that Patrick went there to marry Bridget and maybe farm for her father or some such thing. If anyone has any thoughts on this I would really appreciate it.
