Thanks for all your information. So glad you weren't giving a goodbye but just a change. I know there are others besides me who appreciate all the sources you have passed on. I particularly appreciated your message on accents and how that changed how the names were passed along. I have had an old estate sale list of leases from 1879 in Kilmore area and was trying to match names on that with baptismal, etc. records that I have--very minimal. Anyway, one of the names of a baptism sponsor was Joanna Rochford. Don't know whether this is a relative or friend and then I found a nearby land lease with Rashford. Well, i tried your trick and have figured out that has to be Rochford with a Wexford interpretation given at the time the lease was written. Most of them are from 1826 or so, although there are some later ones, so someone must have laid on the brogue. I keep going back to this estate sale piece of information that another Wexford genealogy searcher passed on to me because everytime I look at the papers, I find something new. So again, thanks Jayne. Cathy Rossing ___________________________________________________________________ Get the Internet just the way you want it.
