I suggest same for other counties and other parts of the world. Your comments please. Emigrants out of Wexford to Canada tended to come out before or after the famine (eg. 1850's). Before the famine there was a special trade of foodstuffs to Newfoundland (ie. the Cdn east coast). Canada in both case was cheaper than to the US and was often as stepping stone. Many left after Cromwells invasion (to Canada, France & US). Comments appreciated.
