Right now I am leaving for short vacation however will be glad to send map of area which includes leases. Wording follows for Lot 27, parcel #3. Joseph Brown, representative of Catherine Rossiter. Leasedated 2st February, 1834, from Nicholas Aylward Vigors to Catherine Rossiter for the life of Thomas Rossiter, then aged about eight years, son of lessee, or twenty-one years from 29th September then last, whichever should last longest, of a house and garden. Reservation to lessor of all mines, minerals, &c. Also reservation of liberty of hunting, fishing and fowling on demised premises. The life is in being. The original counterpart of this lease is not forthcoming but a compared copy of the tenant's part will be handed to the purchaser.. Yearly rent was 39L2s0d. Quantity of land was 34A.3R,38 P. ..>>>> I have not had the exact translations of the acreage transcribed. Joseph Brown also had a lease for part of #3. Same start but it reads<< for life of William Brown, then aged about three years, or twenty-one years from 29th September then last, whichever shall last longest. The life went to America and is believed to be living. The original counterpart, etc. etc.>> This was part of an estate sale in 1879. Map is most valuable, I think as it shows location of plots of land. I will try to scan but if I cannot, please send me your regular address and I will post after the 21 for sure and before if I get a chance. Know how it is when you get a possible lead. We MUST KNOW NOW. This Catherine Rossiter must have been a widow at the original lease time of 1834. She was also still alive in 1879. They lived two houses away from my greats--the Peter Sinnotts. When I find it, I also have copy of 1911 census for this area but all I have now is the one page I was looking at for the Keating side of my family. Their area was Rackardstown but it is part of the Bridgetown district that someone else mentioned on the list today. So it would seem it is all in the same official district. LOL Cathy Rossing
