This town,Shannon, has remained a resolutely Irish identity for over 180 years. They came from counties Kilkenny,Wexford, and Carlow mostly but a 1851 census showed that every county of Ireland was represented in Shannon. If you can get this 'Globe' I suggest a reading. If intersted but can't get the 'Globe' send me your address and I'll see that you get it.
