Hello Everyone I hope some kind person can help me solve a mystery ? My great great grandmother was a Mary Jane Carleton (born circa 1830). She was orphaned in the potato famine and raised by a wicked Aunt. She ran away to sea and got married to my gg grandfather Richard Woodland in 1855 in Cape Town. Do any of the church records exists and where ? I do believe she was a catholic as her granddaughter became a Dominican nun in Cape Town and a grandson became a catholic priest.
