    3. Guten Abend Ire! From Deutscheland! Hello Wexford, I am VERY new to Irish research, but just got in the mail the Declaration of Intent on Sanders Alexander FRAIN b. abt. 1835 in Wexford Ire Imm:(Arrival) Oct 1853 Charleston South Carolina (USA), Intended place of Residence Augusta, Richmond Co. GA. Port of Deptr. New Ross! There was no obituary in the Augusta Cronicle, (Augusta Georgia Newspaper) However, we did find a Funeral Notice in the Paper stating: Funeral Notice Apr 17, 1870 The friends and acquaintances of S.A. FRAIN and RICHARD FRAIN and families are respectfully invited to attend the funeral of the former from the Church of the Atonement this (Sunday) afternoon at 3 and 1/2 o'clock. According to the Family Tree passed down from 2 Generations, Sanders Alexander FRAIN was the son of Richard Alexander FRAIN. That they were from Wexford Ire. (It's still unclear if it is Wexford City or County Wexford.) I have ordered the Church of Atonement records, but they still haven't arrived... and may still yet take a while due to the distance from the US to Germany. Until then is there anyone out here that can point me in the right direction, or make a connection to this family as listed below?? Richard Alexander FRAIN (and variants) b. Ire m. Mary BOARDMAN Children: Richard FRAIN (No other information) Walter S. (Sanders?) FRAIN Jacob S. FRAIN Sanders Alexander FRAIN John FRAIN Mary A. FRAIN Walter S. FRAIN m. Mary V. MAYFIELD in Newton County Georgia, died in the 1st Ward Augusta City Jail they had Sanders J. FRAIN and Martha FRAIN (Mary V. Mayfield later married a William PLUNKETT and I haven't yet found where they went from there.) Jacob S. FRAIN is found in the Georgia Disgusting Records of Genealogical Value (I can't remember off the top of my head whom wrote the book.) His Funeral notice lists a Mrs. E. S. LOMAX and Richard A. FRAIN (Sanders and Jacob both made their declarations of intent at the same time in the same court.) Sanders Alexander FRAIN m. Mary Ann Boardman STEPHENS (a descendant of Mary BOARDMAN's sister Elizabeth Boardman STEPHENS.) they had 3 children. Mammie (died as an infant.) Ann who died in 1865 (this could be Mammie) and Richard Alexander FRAIN. Sanders d. at the young age of 35 whereby Richard lived with his uncle Thomas George STEPHENS. (son of Elizabeth Boardman STEPHENS) John FRAIN who married an Ann lived in Newton County GA where I found Walter... I can't yet make a proof positive connection to him. Willing to share what copies I have and any information on Descent! Hugs Wendy Mayfield
