To whoever is familiar with the Valuation books based on Ordinance Survey maps in the Valuation Office: My ggrandfathers' (both) lots in Ballyboggan in the Tikillen Parish has dates of changes in the occupier or lessor entries, with dates penciled in the margin. I understand that these could, and probably are dates of changes in occupation due to death. My question -- are these dates pretty much the same as the deaths, or were they recorded late enough to be different? The validity of a death certificate or two hinges on that. Milli
