My name is Lawrence Bergeron,I am researching my Maternal Grandparents Who were Burnhams, married to Welch, married to Whittie, Whittie for sure came from Wexford, and possibly Welch. anyway here we go !! "Three brothers James, Walter and Stephen Whittie from (Wexford) Ireland settled in Port Hood, Inverness County, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1814" This excerpt from the book "The History of Inverness County" by J.L.
