Hello, I am new to the list. I am searching for information about the birthplace and family of Thomas Kennedy (born about 1822 in Co. Wexford, according to his petition for US naturalization) and his wife, Ellen Butler also born about 1822-24. They came to US in about 1849. They went to the area around Ithaca, NY (Hector, Trumansburg). They had three children born in the US beginning about 1852...I have always wondered if they had other children that died in Ireland during the famine. The second family is the Ryan family. John Ryan and Elizabeth White had at least two children, Anna and John both of whom also emigrated to Trumansburg, NY but in the 1880s. Anna Ryan was born about 1865. Family lore says she was from New Ross, Wexford. A couple of years ago I was in New Ross and looked at the parish records in the town but found nothing on this family. I would appreciate any leads or suggestions that anyone could share with me. Thank you! Ellen Kennedy
