Hi, I just joined the list. I have a new clue. It's so new I haven't even looked at websites, books, maps, etc, yet! I may be descended from Elizabeth DOYLE of Craan, Co Wexford who married Edmond NOLAN of Ballinrush, Parish of Myshall, Co. Carlow c. 1768. I am familiar with Co Carlow, as I have been stuck there (researching from my home in Illinois, USA) for ages! And then, I get this clue and it's in another county! I had to look at a map of Ireland to find out where Wexford is! When I am finished (yeah right), I am going to know alot about Irish geography! Which is ok, as in school, I did well in that subject. Anyway, this couple had 4 boys and 6 girls. A daughter, Johanna, if this is my family, was my ggg grandmother. My Johanna lived in the Parish of Bagenalstown, Co Carlow. I don't know how or when or why the family got from one place to the other. The parishes of Myshall and Bagenalstown in Co Carlow are next to each other, but I don't know yet where Craan, Co Wexford is in relationship to them. I am guessing the couple would have married in her parish unless her family moved to Co Carlow and then she met Edmond there? Debbie
